"Parade Ground Monument
to the 136th NY Infantry"

In the 1930's a plaque was dedicated on the Parade Grounds of Letchworth Park. It marks the spot where Camp Williams stood. This Civil War camp was where both the 1st New York Dragoons and later the 136th Infantry trained.
