1870's

Located north of the original lands of the Glen Iris Estate, Wolf Creek's rugged beauty caught the eye of many 19th century travelers, The Creek was important during pioneer times in the region, with several saw mills and distilleries found along its banks.

This image was taken near the mouth of the Creek where it flows into the Genesee River. The photographer and his assistants would have had to travel by boat in order to take this photograph
